MSI is Offering a Project Simulator for Six Sigma Black Belt Courses

As leaders in online Six Sigma certifications and professional development across various industries, we at the Management and Strategy Institute (MSI) are always looking for ways to improve our courses to provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive training and certification experiences for our professional students. Recently, we decided that understanding DMAIC, Six Sigma processes, and strategies for effective project leadership and continuous improvement are only valuable when there are practical applications to test them out.

For this reason, we have developed a project simulator that we include in our Six Sigma Black Belt Certification courses — free of charge! Read on to learn more about our class and the essential qualities of the BBsim™ project simulator!

Exclusive BBsim™ Black Belt Project Simulator

In the past, students in this professional development course would learn how to approach DMAIC projects at an organizational level, test their fundamental knowledge of Six Sigma Black Belt with the MSI exam, and earn their certification. While all of this is still included in the course, the BBsim™ project simulation has been built into the program for a deeper understanding of course concepts, providing students with the unique opportunity to gain hands-on practice as Black Belt project leaders.

As students move through the certification program, they will apply their knowledge of Back Belt elements learned in each segment to practical project situations in the BBsim™. This program provides step-by-step walk-throughs of every section of the study material to help students think like Black Belts as they manage different projects.

In the BBsim™ program, Six Sigma Black Belt students are challenged in many ways, including:

  • Choosing the best process tools for each DMAIC stage
  • Determining the hierarchical order of project tasks
  • Identifying and ranking failure modes
  • Utilizing the best tools for testing reliability and validity
  • Calculating Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO)
  • And much more!

As we mentioned above, we have included the BBsim™ project simulation program in both the regular and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification courses at no additional charge. Additionally, if any students want to take an online class to earn a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or Yellow Belt Certification, we have those online courses available with free project simulation programs unique to the course requirements.
