No certifications, no job. Having professional certifications on your resume is the key to standing out and attracting attention from employers.

Of course, the relevancy of the certification will make a huge difference in whether or not you get offered a job. For example, a PC Hardware Professional certification likely won’t be useful if you won’t be working computer hardware directly.

By having relevant certifications on your resume, recruiters can immediately see the types of skills and experiences that you have. Some job descriptions will also request that you have a specific type of qualification. In these cases, having it on your resume is a clear sign that you’re fully capable of handling the job and that you have experience in that specific position.

Should you always include certifications on your resume?
