This marks the 14th straight quarter of charitable giving through MSI. For the 3rd quarter, MSI selected two charities that provide critical services. MSI hopes that our members will consider donating to these amazing charities too.
World Hope International
From their website: “World Hope International is a Christian relief and development organization working with vulnerable and exploited communities to alleviate poverty, suffering and injustice. We work in 15 of the poorest countries in the world, helping all people, regardless of ethnicity, gender, race or religion. We serve the poorest of the poor, those crippled by a lack of opportunity. We put children first, because we believe that when you empower the youngest generation, you invest in future leaders. Leaders who will ensure their children grow up in a world with opportunity, dignity and hope.”
Susan G. Komen
From their website: “In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. To date, we’ve invested more than $2.9 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Our efforts helped reduce deaths from breast cancer by 38 percent between 1989-2014 and we won’t stop until our promise is fulfilled.”
